The Genesee County Pharmacists Association (GCPA) is the component organization of the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA) which represents the pharmacy profession in Michigan, united with the GCPA for the common good to advance public health and patient care and the interest of the pharmacy profession.
The objectives of the organization are to:
-
Advance pharmacy services and pharmacy unity
-
Conduct activities in advancing public health, education, & professional pharmacy practice
-
Advance the profession's Code of Professional Ethics
-
Advance membership and the communication of information to members
-
Advance the public image of the profession of pharmacy, pharmacists, & pharmacy technicians
The GCPA benefits pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, patients, and the public in the Genesee and Tuscola County areas. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians benefit by having the opportunity to network, obtain continuing education, and have a voice in government, all starting at the local level. Because these opportunities serve to enhance the practitioner's abilities and the profession overall, patients benefit as well. The public benefits from community programs which the GCPA organizes and volunteering which the GCPA strongly encourages.
